Patrishow Font in the church. This church is on the side of a hill with a spring and was built in the 1200's as a small chapel on the site of a hermit's abode. As a Druid site it would have been devoted to both Hu and Hekate/Kate.
Photo from: google maps Patrishow by Justin Wyatt.
Based on the Druid Akkadian text this is a Druid ritual cistern. These would have been used at sacred spots devoted to the sun and storm god Hu who also represented the divine irrigation network which distributed life powers (fertility-fluids) to earth. These would have stored rainwater and not the spring water of sites devoted to Hekate/Kate.
The text around its rim is one of the earliest runic texts in Britain as evidenced by its use of some Etruscan letters.
A good chance exists that later Christian churches were built on these sacred sites over even over these stone wells.
Devynock (Defynnog) Font Runestone 975 - County Brecan, Wales

Background
(April 5, 2026) The cemetery of this church holds the ancient Defynnog Yew which is between 1300-3000 years old.
Macalister reports that a local inhabitant told him that the font had once been garnished with figures which had so shocked the sense of propriety of a former priest that he instructed the sexton to hack them off. At the same time and for the same reason he abolished a representation of Adam and Eve formerly in the church. If this happened the scene would have been around the base which is now blank.

Druid Cistern In Early Anglo-Saxon Church
This Druid ritual bowl is now found in St Mary’s Church, Deerhurst, Gloucestershire, England. St Mary’s Church is one of the finest and most complete buildings in England to survive from before the Norman Conquest. The main part of this church has been dated to around 800 CE.
The bowl shows the classic druid spirals arranged in a 2 by 3 matrix representing the Ancient Pagan paradigm of 3 levels of divine powers divided into the life and motion power classes. These have been arranged in the tree of life.
Baptismal fonts first started to appear in churches during the 800's with the rise of child baptism which by then had fully replaced adult baptism. Prior to this they were full immersion baths for adults. The Christian idea of original sin meant all babies were born sinful and destined for hell unless baptized.

Brecon Cathedral Font Runestone 972 - County Brecon, Wales

Background
(April 5, 2026) Macalister reports that this stone was located on the Romanesque font in the Priory Church (now the Cathedral), Brecon.
Brecon Cathedral is unusual as it has only been a cathedral for less than 100 years. The word cathedral comes from the Latin cathedra, meaning seat, which makes a cathedral a seat for a bishop. When a new diocese is created one of its churches becomes the bishop’s seat, and that’s what happened for Brecon Cathedral in 1923 with the creation of the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon.
Because of the characteristic round shape of its churchyard, the church is thought to be on the site of an earlier Celtic church of which no trace remains. The first part of this church was built in 1093. The church was rebuilt and extended in the Gothic style in about 1215. In 1538 the Prior was pensioned off, and the priory church became the parish church. Some of the surrounding buildings were adapted for secular use while others, such as the cloisters, were left to decay and later demolished. By the 1800's, the church was in poor repair and only the nave was in use. Some restoration took place in 1836, but major renovation of the church did not start until the 1860s.

This is another Druid ritual cistern found reused as a Norman baptismal font at the Brecon Church. These large stone fonts are typically identified as being Norman because they are the ones who started building these large stone churches in which they appear. Normans were seeking to replace Druidry and Celtic Christianity with Roman Catholicism. But many such fonts have Druid symbology like this one showing a Greenman type image on one side. These images belong to the general Druid sick-sun class of images which represent droughts. These also include classical era gorgons. Notice the eagle-vulture/griffon image on the left which is more eagle vulture than medieval griffon. These edit the divine irrigation network and are often blamed for cutting too many life-thread much and causing droughts as is the case in this font's Druid Akkadian text around the top rim. To the right is a dragon representing chaos.

Pillar of Eliseg Runestone 1000 - County Denbigh, Wales

Background
(April 9, 2026) Macalister reports that this stone is located in the third field to the north of Valle Crucis Abbey standing on a low mound of earth and stones. A square plinth of rough masonry, 1' 10" high, supports the base-stone, which measures 1' 3" high by 4' 11" square. Its upper surface is much weathered, and shows depressions which do not appear to be intentional.
The pillar present height above the base is 7' 10." When Lhuyd saw the stone it was about 12 feet high. Five feet have been lost from the lower end, with the last 16 of the 31 lines of writing which Lhuyd saw. A projecting rope-molding serves as a necking, at present 6' 1" above the base-stone.
The pillar was thrown down by the Roundheads during the English Civil War and a grave under it opened. Edward Lhuyd examined the pillar and copied the inscription in 1696. The lower half disappeared but the upper half was re-erected in 1779. The original inscription is now unreadable.
The mound that supports the pillar was subjected to excavation in the years 2010, 2011 and 2012 by Project Eliseg. This established that the earliest phase of construction was that of a kerbed platform cairn, dated by type to around 2000 BCE. A small cist in the first phase of construction yielded evidence of burnt human bone, confirming its use as a sacred burial site.
Such a round pillar could only have come from some nearby Roman villa which some Druids took to this ancient sacred ancestral site and wrote upon it. The nearby Cistercian Abby next made it into a Christian cross by adding a cross-piece to its top. The abbey then took its name from this cross.

Comment: This text is promoting the astrology-magic powered by the dark new moon god Su and performed by the shepherd-priests. Astrology magic works by shifting fate from one thing to another. In essence, shifting the curse onto something else. One form of this magic is using a scape-goat to receive the curse. This curse shifting has always made it a controversial magical practice in the Druid texts.
The divine-loom represents all the life powers which weave the divine irrigation network which distributes life powers (fertility-fluids) to earth. These trigger the manifestation of life forms by Yahu/Yahweh. This network is represented by the storm and sun god Hu. The dark underworld which holds dead souls until they can be reincarnated is represented by Kate/Hekate.

+ Nourishing the openings will affect the fate-revelations involving the Originator (Su).
Comment: The "openings" here are the life power (fertility-fluid) openings through the divine irrigation network (sky-shell) which distributes the life powers to the earth so that they can manifest life. The deities involved with this are the sun and storm god Hu and the crescent moon goddess Ayu with her griffons/eagle-vultures. If these openings are inhabited by fate then a drought will occur.

The image is the Druid astrology-magic cross on a short column apparently representing the divine irrigation network which distributes the life powers to earth. This is an important intermediate form between a plain astrology-magic cross and later astrology-magic crosses looking like a Christian cross.

Comment: This text is promoting astrology-magic which is powered by the dark new moon and eye pupil god Su. Astrology uses emotion magic to shift the curses of fate to other targets. It does not use emotion magic to energize divine life powers directly. That difference is the main focus of this text. Fertility-fluids are the life powers which flow to earth via the divine-irrigation network which also distributes them to the right areas.

Hu cannot irrigate the fate-owl's boundary. The shepherd-priests can be involved with the motion-controller's (Selene) manifestations restricting Su.
Emotion-powers can nourish Thu's restrictions on disablements. Emanations can disable the redirecting by Thu.
Su is the harbor. The harbor's gossamer-fabric (starry night sky) can starve the omens. | A lack of omens will open the life-channels to Yahu's revelations (which manifest life).
Starvation will be revealed by omens. | Hu will restrict energy. | Life-emanations will not disable the frustrations.
Comment: The shepherd-priests do astrology-magic which shifts fate which is defined by the celestial light goddess Selene/Selu and the dark new moon and eye pupil god Su. Su, as the source of all motion and change powers, generates the raw fate power which is then baked into place by Selene.

The cross-hatching represents the divine irrigation network (life network) which distributes life powers (fertility-fluids) to earth which trigger the manifestation of life forms by Yahu/Yahweh. The network is associated with the sun and storm god Hu. The crescent moon goddess Ayu with her eagle-vultures/griffons edit the network's connections by cutting them. The crescent shape represents a scythe. Each thread or channel is the "thread of life" for that life form.
This cross hatching pattern would often be abstracted as the elaborite Celtic knot designs seen on other stones.
